This year we are offering some amazing workshops/demos and lectures by talented professionals. Group panel tickets are for discussions about specific topics in detail & held in small classroom setting. Tickets are limited!
Purchase a wristband for Saturday, Sunday or both to create your own itinerary. Panels are on a first line up, first sit basis. Tickets are $10 ea day and not guaranteed you’ll get into all the panels you desire. We try to accommodate 20-30 attendees in each panel.

“COCO Loco: The Making of “Miguel and the Amazing Alebrijes”” with Ricardo De Los Angeles
Join Illustrator Ricky De Los Angeles as he visually presents an in-depth look at the making of his first Disney/Pixar book. Some topics that will be covered are: thumb-nailing the story, layout design, research and reference, character design, color and painting final art. Ricky will also have copies of his book on hand for purchase and signing.
“Designing for 2D Animation” with Andrea Gerstmann
This talk will explore the unique challenges and problem solving that goes into designing for 2D animation. In Television, design is the middleman between the storyboard and the final animation and can be quite different from other illustration. We will be looking at what makes designing characters, props, and backgrounds work in the world of 2D television animation.
“Storyboard Workshop” with Peter Paul
Storyboarding is a complex way to tell a story. Attendees will learn how to simplify their ideas and be more efficient in getting their story drawn.
“Understanding Color, Photoshop Demo” with Nick Kennedy
Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how to select colors in photoshop, focusing on understanding the importance of Value, Saturation and Temperature.
